I’m Lea Bolante, and I am a writer from the south of Manila. I’ve always been passionate about writing, but I only got around to pursuing it as a career in 2016. I was previously a staff writer at Philihappy, an online space for everything fun and positive about the Philippines. More recently, I also had a short but meaningful stint as a copywriter at a boutique advertising agency, where I immersed myself in writing content for ATL, digital, and branding projects. Presently, I am a digital practitioner, handling a variety of projects ranging from social media content, web, and paid media. I’m still getting the hang of it, though.
As a writer, I specialize in beauty, lifestyle, and pop culture. I also enjoy writing profiles. The stories of other people interest me a lot, and I find each encounter to be a learning experience. I am also interested in issues that affect the women and the youth.
When I am not writing, I am usually catching up on TV shows or reading things that interest me. I also like to cook, hang out at coffee shops, visit museums and galleries, scour awesome finds, and play with my pets (I have two puppies now, aside from my cat Martha!). I am obsessed with good coffee, pop culture, minimalist fashion and stationery, and beauty. Oh, did I mention that I love K-pop? My top bias groups are GOT7, NCT, and Super Junior.
